In Madagascar, there is a large number of children at risk of social exclusion, abandoned or from families in extreme poverty, and single mothers who are marginalized, mostly illiterate, living in areas very precarious, un employed, with no means to support themselves.
In 2003, we began a program of protection for women in the village of Vontovorona (20 km from Antananarivo, Madagascar). Later in 2006 we also launched a child and youth protection program for the fight against malnutrition, lack of medical care and psychosocial problems of schooling and literacy.
In India, discrimination against women being widely known, we started a program on education for girls in the slums of Calcutta in 2005.
